Wootton Courtenay Village Hall

RE-OPENING MONDAY AUGUST 24th 2020

I am pleased to announce that, following five months closure, our village hall will re-open with a newly sealed floor surface and a host of Covid 19 special arrangements to minimise the risk of transmission.

Your Committee has also decided to help motivate clubs to return by agreeing that there will be no hire fees for a period of 3 months from the re-opening date.

A small subcommittee comprising myself, Peter Clapham, Alan Rowe and Barbara O’Keefe have, taking into account the continually updated advice from ACRE, worked tirelessly on this matter and I thank them for their assistance in ensuring the re-opening will be a success.

Initially a Risk Assessment was carried out and from this a Policy and other relevant documents produced.

Heads of groups will be bound by the “Special Conditions of Hire”, attached to which will be a copy of the “Risk Assessment” as applicable to the hall, and they will be required to sign off that they accept these special conditions.  These will be sent out within the next few days to all Group Leaders.

Individuals using the hall are advised of the role they have to play in the “Help Keep this Hall Covid 19 Secure” notice, copies of which will be displayed in the hall and available for take-away reading.

Since these matters are continually changing in accordance with H M Government advice, we will need to remain flexible to change.
