As Covid continues to prevent us from holding large events in the village hall, Anne Scullard has proposed that we organise a version of the annual Christmas Fair on the website. It may not be the social event of years gone by, but it would allow stallholders a chance to sell, and villagers the opportunity to buy some hand-made gifts for the festive season.
The idea is that sellers create a PDF of the items they would like to sell, to include:
Photographs and descriptions of goods
Contact details so that customers can place orders
The sellers send their PDFs to me and, once the list has been compiled, I will send out a Christmas Fair email to the village, listing each seller’s speciality and providing links to their individual PDFs. Customers can then use the contact details on a seller’s PDF to place an order and arrange collection/delivery of goods.
In addition to the village email, I will also put a clickable link to the message about the fair on the Home page of the website until December 24th. I realise this is a limited shopfront for sellers, but it seems a pity that we should miss out on the Christmas Fair, which is such a popular event in the village.
If you are a seller who would like to take part in this online Christmas Fair, please submit your PDF by Friday 6th November.
Send your PDF to firstname.lastname@example.org . Remember to include your name and relevant contact details. Please note that, in doing so, you consent to your details being published on the website within the Christmas Fair message.
Please contact me on the above email address if you have any questions.
