There was an excellent turnout for the beach clean on Saturday, with all age ranges represented, and we were even joined by a family on a weekend break. We collected 17.5 kg of litter. This was part of the Million Mile Beach Clean challenge taking place across the UK. So far 206,728 kg of rubbish has been removed from UK beaches, covering 903,925 miles of our coastline. The collections are sorted, brands of items recorded, and the information is fed into a national database which will inform a report at the end of the challenge.
