Porlock’s Late Night Shopping and Santa Festival

Saturday December 11th from 5.00 – 8.00pm

Residents and businesses are getting in the festive spirit ready for the annual Porlock Late Night Shopping and Santa Festival event, with Late Night Shopping for Christmas gifts. The village’s pubs and restaurants will be open, so bring your friends and family and join in with the festive fun in Porlock!

The evening will also see a host of entertainment, including West Somerset Morris Men, West Somerset Brass Band, seasonal music from Blythwood, plus stalls and festive face painting at The Old School Building, St Dubricius School children and Friends in Harmony singing at St Dubricius Church, and a Christmas Raffle at Dovery Manor Museum. There will also be Santa’s Grotto, and Porlock Panto Group will be on hand to entertain visitors.

The annual Santa Dash takes place at 7.00pm so, whatever your age or shape, get your Santa suit on and get ready to race through the streets!

The Santa Festival launches on Friday, December 10th, when shops, businesses, accommodation providers, pubs and restaurants will all display their very own Santa, from life-size stuffed versions to small toys. The Santa Trail guide will be available from shops along the High Street so you can pick up a copy and enjoy visiting all the Santas. There will be prizes for the best entries and the winners will be announced on Sunday December 12th.
