A first for the newly restarted Photography Club, we have our first guest speaker presentation:
‘LESS IS MORE’ by Steve Presnell of Minehead
Entry free to members. £3 for guests.
Here are a few words from Steve, which I hope will give the group and visitors some idea of what to expect:
“‘Less is more’ is a selection of pictures chosen to illustrate how simple but strong composition, and uncluttered scenes, can yield pleasing images with impact. The idea is applied to various photographic genres and goes on to explore minimalism and the use of negative space. Comments from the audience are encouraged.”
Steve’s talk will be followed by a display of members’ photos on the big screen, on the themes of ‘Winter – Spring’ and ‘Excessive rain, water behaving badly’ – that sort of thing (topical at the moment!).
Meetings are open to all, from novice snappers to seasoned photographers, so do come along and expand your horizons – everyone is welcome.
