A friend of mine and I run the ‘West Somerset at War’ website. We’re a couple of old veterans ourselves and have recently started to research the names of those who appear on the Wootton Courtenay war memorial, located within All Saints Church.
We have found a huge amount of information about some of the soldiers, but for others very little at all, and we could do with some help from, perhaps, descendant family members still living in the area or maybe others who have previously undertaken some local research.
