National Grid have just been given permission to replace the pole at Forge Cottage in Fairgarden Road. This work will be undertaken today (Thursday 3rd July). The team can do the work without fully closing the road by putting the lorry on the drive of the property. Therefore Fairgarden Road will remain open today.
If there is time, the team will return to the road they were working on yesterday (Wednesday), which is Brockwell Lane to the Church. Work on this section started at short notice on Wed – no notification was received beforehand. The section of road they will be working on is wide enough to allow traffic to pass and the traffic ops will be on site to supervise that. Therefore, Brockwell Lane to the Church will remain open today.
