Plea for Loan of Props and Furniture

You may know that Barnstormers are presenting Abigail’s Party at The Regal in November. The play is set in 1977 and the furniture and props are very prescriptive, and of the time.

This is just a personal plea from me and the cast, two of whom are from Wootton Courtenay, to ask if you might have something, large or small, that we might borrow for two weeks in November. We would be SO grateful!

Furniture
A leather three seater sofa, or three piece suite (orange would be perfect!)
A teak or G-plan style dining table and four chairs
A rectangular coffee table (with onyx top would be perfect)
A small desk or stand for a phone
A room divider, whole or part! Wooden
A large rug
A sheepskin or shag pile rug
Any ’70s furniture you think we might find useful

Smaller items/props
A silver candelabra (silver plate)
A coloured fibre-optic light
A lava lamp
Bright patterned cushions with orange in
Orange geometric wallpaper
A James Galway LP cover
A Lowry print, preferably framed
A print of Van Gogh’s bedroom chair
A picture: The Wings of a Dove by Stephen Pearson
1970s bar items and glasses
A 1970s telephone

It’s a long shot, and I hope you don’t mind me asking. But it’s such a great play we want to get it right. Thanks for reading this.
