Yesterday’s closure of Ranscombe Road may be over quicker than anticipated. Sir Roger Carrick has been in touch to say he found a notification online which stated that the road was closed to enable Southwest Overhead Services Ltd to renew a utility pole on behalf of Openreach. Apparently the authorities often allow extra time for this kind of work, and renewing one pole should not take more than one day. The road may or may not be open today (Wed).
