The biggest event held in the village hall is the Flower and Produce Show, which takes place on the first Tuesday of August each year. The hall is decked with flowers, vegetables, cakes, photographs and handicrafts, all provided and displayed by villagers. The proceeds from the Show allow the village Gardening Club to host a range of interesting speakers, at meetings held every two months from September to June, and make an annual donation to a local horticultural project (usually educational).
