Please bear in mind the following:

  • Please be vigilant – we have had reports of cold callers in the surrounding areas.  Our advice would be if you don’t wish to engage just politely refuse, and if they are genuine they will go away.  If any issues please phone 101.
  • Please be vigilant with security of outbuildings and sheds, and consider installing motion lights or light up dark areas where thieves could be out of sight.  Keep your property securely locked and your valuables out of sight.
  • Farm and Horse Watch is a free service we offer and is very popular.  To sign up please contact me for details.
  • Please keep a look out for the Coffee with Cops events that are taking place in Porlock and Dunster/Timberscombe areas; these Police beat surgeries are open to everyone.  You can pop in and have a chat about any concerns you may have.
  • Neighbourhood Watch.  As the local PCSO I will be aiming to make contact with our coordinators every 2 months or so to update them with local updates.  Similarly I will contact the Farm Watch coordinators when we have relevant information to share.

Please note I have a Facebook page – you can find me on ‘PCSO Linda Brooks’.  Feel free to leave me messages, but also be aware this is not monitored 24/7 and no crime should be reported on there.
