Secondhand Books for Charitable Causes

Wootton Courtenay Secondhand Books was started over twenty years ago by Roger Langrish, then a long-term resident of the village.  He and I sold them at many charity events in the area over six years, raising a good sum.  When he left the village in 2010, I gave the books a home, selling them at jumble sales and other fundraising events for village causes, but not travelling as far afield.

I’d very much like to pass the books on to someone else now, as I don’t give them enough time or attention.  I have about 1,500 paperbacks and hardbacks, and I wonder if anyone would be interested in taking them on?  They are an excellent way of raising funds for charity and I’d be very happy to see them go to a better home.

Please contact me at if you are interested in taking on these books.

Many thanks.
