Although we cannot plant them on the village playing field, the Woodland Trust have finally said we can have the trees we asked for. We should try to plant them on public land, but otherwise we could plant them on private land in the village. They will still look lovely, provide habitat for wildlife and help with climate change.
420 little trees with stakes and spiral guards should arrive with me on Monday. There are common oak, hazel, rowan, hawthorn, blackthorn and silver birch. If anyone would like some of these trees, please let me know on 01643 841508 or 07584 951693. There is information about planting on the Woodland Trust website, under Trees for Schools.
