Our intrepid Wootton Courtenay Website Manager, Bill Hodgson, is cultivating a moustache to raise money for Movember. He says:
It’s been nine years since I first Movember’d, and this year I felt I’d like to support them again – especially for men’s mental health. I have direct experience of mental health challenges amongst my family and friends, and appreciate that sometimes we all need help.
Last time I Movember’d I became a David Brent lookalike, which was disturbing for all. This time I will be growing mutton-chops in the style of Lemmy, lead singer of the rock band Motörhead. This may not seem to be a tough challenge but, one week in, the itching on my chin is already a bother and I’ve noticed my wife is coming up with lame excuses to avoid kissing my prickly face.
Money raised by Movember supports projects in the UK to provide education and support for mental health, and also enables research into prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention: 75% of suicides are by men. Please help if you can.
