Gardening Club Talk Tonight

Tuesday 26th April, 7.30pm in the Village Hall

David Usher: Gertrude Jekyll – Her Plants and Designs

Gardening Club members free. Guests welcome: £3 per person

A reminder that the Gardening Club talk on Gertrude Jekyll is this evening in the village hall. Our speaker, David Usher, will be giving an insight into Jekyll’s work and looking at her painterly approach to colour in the garden. Join us for a fascinating talk on an extraordinary woman.

Empty hanging baskets will be available at the meeting at £2 each: club members are invited to buy one or two and take them home to fill with bedding plants of their own choice. Please remember to bring a few pounds to the meeting if you’re able to fill a basket or two. The colour theme this year is red, white and blue, to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee. The baskets will be hung along the front of the village hall when the Flower and Produce Show takes place in August.
