Platinum Jubilee Celebration: Apology

I would like to send my profound apologies to Joe Roake for not listing him in my previous entry on the website amongst all the people who helped with the Jubilee Celebrations. Joe made a really valuable contribution and in particular with opening the proceedings on the Thursday with the Proclamation on the Church Steps.

Joe constructed the essential podium upon which the Olympian awards were made and helped with the erection, essential repairs and dismantling of the marquees. He also prepared the ground and planting of the Platinum Oak in readiness for the top dressing ceremony held at the end of the day on Saturday. Many thanks again for all this essential hard work, which all helped make this such successful Jubilee Celebrations, along with everyone else.
