Thinking Allowed

‘Where does real power lie?’ is the topic of our next Thinking Allowed which will be on Monday 14th July. We may think we have power over our lives and futures, but, in reality is this the case? How much power do our elected politicians have – or are their decisions dependent on unelected multi-national organisations? These, and many others, are the kind of questions we shall be considering in what is usually a lively and stimulating discussion. Background notes will be posted later in the week. We meet at 7pm in the Villagers’ Stores. The bar will be open from 6.30pm. As well as friendly company, there will be some readings and poetry. All will be welcome.
