I’d like to thank everyone who took part in this year’s fabulous Flower & Produce Show. I must say, I was amazed at how full the show benches were after such a difficult summer – you all deserve a round of applause! Our show judges tell us Wootton Courtenay puts on one of the best flower shows in the area, which reflects the extraordinary enthusiasm and creativity in our wonderful village.
Although some expenses are yet to be established, preliminary figures suggest that the proceeds of the show come to approximately £510, which is slightly higher than last year’s total. £400 of this will be donated to Good Vibe Veg, to facilitate group visits from schoolchildren to the growers field at Horner, and the remaining funds will go to either St Margaret’s Hospice or charities supported via the National Garden Scheme. Thank you, everyone, for your generosity.
