Options for the future
What are the present problems?
What does the church do for our village?
What can we do for the church?
This promises to be a lively and interesting evening and will be of interest to all villagers whatever their views or persuasion. Questions and discussion after the talk.

Monday July 23rd. 7.30pm

Starting in All Saints Church and ending in the Village Hall

Part One 7.30 – In our village church

Caroline will talk about the history of the church and show some of the evidence in the building

Part Two – In our village hall

We will then walk to the hall and enjoy a drink and nibbles from the bar. Caroline will continue her talk which will be followed by questions and a discussion

Bar & Retiring collection in aid of church funds

Thursday November 1st

Stargazing “Pie at Night”

Dunkery Beacon Country House are hosting a stargazing supper evening on Thurs 1st Nov as part of the Exmoor Dark Sky Festival. Themed ‘Pie at Night’ the evening will include a Pie and Mash Supper and inclusive drink plus a presentation by astronomer Seb Jay followed by a viewing of the constellations using Newtonian Telescopes, weather permitting. Tickets £18.50 per person. This is always a sell out night, so book early to avoid disappointment!

Cookery School – Christmas

Why not make Christmas extra special this year, with the help from Claires Kitchen. This cookery school will incorporate every aspect of creating amazing food for your Christmas table. We will be making the perfect stuffing, cranberry sauce and bread sauce, all of which can be frozen ahead for the big day. Auntie Chris will be showing you how to make the best gluten free pastry, my team and I will be making mini desserts, mulled cider, there will even be demos of floral arrangements from Jane Barberi to make your centre piece for the Christmas table.
